6-Month-Old Easter Basket Ideas: Children’s Books, Toys, Crafts, and Outfits

Bunnies, Chicks, and Fluffy Lambs~ Oh mai! Easter is approaching, and with it comes springtime blooms, cute baby animals, and colorful-decorated eggs. And of course~ mai ultimate favorite: Easter Egg Hunts! The thrill of finding little rainbow eggs filled with candies and goodies is exhilarating! Now that I have Baby, I can’t wait to live vicariously through him as he experiences this holiday tradition.

I’m beyond thrilled to celebrate Mai Little Love’s *First Easter,* and with all of the anticipation, I’ve already curated his very first Easter Basket! If you need ideas for your own babies, check out the Easter Basket items I chose below for mai own 6-month-old.

Plus, if you need more bookish ideas to celebrate, keep scrolling to check out mai ultimate *Easter Children’s Book* Collection for a delightful roundup of board books and picture books. I’ve also included some of mai favorite Easter themed book-craft pairings.

Baby Easter Basket Ideas

Mai Little Lover just turned 6 months old a week ago~ and come Easter, he will be about 6.5 months. I love curating bundles of goodies for littles, so I was especially delighted to get to put together his first Easter Basket! Of course, most of the items are books~ almost all of them feature an interactive element except for the Sandra Boynton book ( but she’s one of Baby’s favorite author’s so her books are basically on auto-buy).

But I also chose a special toy, a new spring outfit, and the cutest new swim suit for the warmer spring weather! Check out mai selections below, and comment what goodies you are excited to put in your littles’ Easter Baskets this year!

Barnaby & Benson PocoKin

This was the toy of choice for Baby’s Easter basket. This darling Bunny doll, Barnaby, is handmade with the finest cotton and polyester fill by artisans in Peru. Plus, Barnaby comes with an emotional aid pocket pal, Benson, who is attached by a string to Barnaby’s pocket so he can go for a walk but never get lost! I also love how your purchase of any of the PocoKin collection dolls directly benefits their partner charity, In a Perfect World, by providing food and clean water, building schools, and empowering the next generation of children across the globe. Also, note the size! The doll is about the same size as Baby at 20 inches long!

Nursery Play Book: Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Lion

This cloth book is more like a hybrid between a toy and book. I love these series of versatile cloth books because they bring so much sensory stimulation for babies. Each animal-character-shaped book features a well-known rhyme, plus a mirror, ribbon tags, rattle sound, and tactile features to encourage cognitive development.

Indestructible Book: Happy Easter

These indestructible books are perfect for babies because they are rip proof, chew proof, and water proof. They are literally Indestructible! And of course, this Easter themed one is perfect for the occasion.

Happy Easter, Bunny! 3-Button Sound Board Book

Baby is loving everything and anything that makes sound at the moment, so this one will be a hit! It is adaptation of the song, “If You’re Happy and You Know It”, and includes three sound buttons!

Happy Easter, Little Pookie Board Book by Sandra Boynton

We are huge Sandra Boynton fans over here, so of course I had to include her Easter board book! Join Mom and her little Pookie as they prepare for Easter: Pookie’s mom arranges an Easter play date with their friend, Bean, where they hop around like bunnies and decorate eggs. At the end of the day, Pookie dreams of the Easter Bunny and, of course, chocolate!

Hello, Little Ones! Little Fox Cloth-Teether Book

Baby is just beginning to teeth, so anything chewable and drool proof is a plus~ and this darling cloth book even includes teethers attached, along with a crinkle sound effect!

Go, Peeps, Go! Finger Puppet Book

Wiggle the adorable Bunny Peep finger puppet and giggle along with all the Peeps in cars, planes, boats, and trains! This sweet rhyming book features a soft plush finger puppet toy built into the story, allowing for both sensory and language development.

Spring Outfit: Gnome Romper

I am obsessed with the gender neutral patterns from Get Kolorful, and this gnome outfit is perfect for springtime! This Gnome Romper gender-neutral one-piece romper outfit gives babies on the move plenty of comfort and style. Made with the softest organic cotton, these clothes are completely free of harsh artificial dyes and chemicals and are super gentle on Baby’s sensitive skin.

Swimsuit: Mediterranean Lemon Trunks and Short-Sleeve Rashguard

I think I am most excited for all the pool-time this spring and summer~ so of course I had to get Baby a new swimsuit! I actually got Baby and me matching swim suits from Swim Zip, so I have my own two piece in this citrus pattern. I love that their swimwear is made of the highest-rated, most comfortable UPF 50+ sun protective fabric, and Blocks 98% of the sun’s harmful UVA & UVB rays for maximum sun protection!
